Our Water Bottles use a Unique 3-in-1 Filter Technology
The filters used in our BPA free water bottles are created based on technology originally developed for the NASA space programme.
Water-to-Go’s 3-in-1 Technology
All of our water bottles with filters contain unique 3-in-1 filtration technology effectively providing clean safe drinking water from any non-salt water source around the world.
Three different (1 traditional and 2 nano) technologies are combined in one filter cartridge to remove up to 99.9999% of microbiological contaminants and more in water.
The three technologies used in a Water-to-Go filter are:
Mechanical filtration – A tiny pore size, so small contaminants like bacteria and parasites can’t fit through and so are trapped.
Electrical – A positive charge reduces the pore size even further and attracts contaminants like a magnet, trapping them inside the filter.
Activated Carbon – Unlike most carbon based filters, instead of using adhesives to glue the carbon particles together, (which vastly reduces the carbon’s efficiency) it is loose within the membrane, helping to reduce contaminants whilst eliminating bad tastes and odours. Unlike carbon block filters that lose as much as 70 percent of their area to the adhesives that hold the block together, our carbon has zero adhesives holding it in place making it far more efficient. Even so the pore sizes of carbon block filters are too big to stop all protozoa, bacteria or virus and only filter chlorine and some heavy metals. They basically improve the taste of water without properly filtering out any of the more dangerous contaminants. The two additional nano-technologies inside the Water-to-Go filter reduce pores to such a small size that no protozoa, bacteria or viruses can fit through.
